Iffin you got the time, Me got the words.
Sunday. A day fer reflection and/or recreation fer many people throughout the world.
Some folks start out their day in prayer. Either in a house of God or in the bathroom.
It be funny how the penitent all look very similar. The pious lower their heads in prayer while sinners lower their heads in pain. Whether you be asking for salvation or a succor to yer hangover, the thoughts come from the same place in yer heart.
Me were gonna take a drive out to the country and visit people; take a break from the hairy bullshit and get me head straightened out.
Me did something different.
Me told the Vixen to take off instead. Me needed a break from her as much as me needed a little down time to get me head screwed back on tight.
The first thing me did were to tidy the entire apartment. Laundry, blankets, bedding all run through the washing machine. While that were going on me dusted, scrubbed vacuumed and swept.
The kitchen needed a bit o' elbow grease. The stove top burners, cabinets, refrigerator all required a thorough cleaning and since we never seem to find the time to catch up on these things, today seemed like a good time to take care of it all.
Me believes that having yer surroundings clean and fresh be a necessity before ya can even attempt to clear the inner dust bunnies from the nooks and crannies (Be that particular phrase redundant?) of yer mind.
Once me be finished typing this up, me gonna put one of me favorite CD's in the portable player and sit inna bath untill me mind, soul and body be as clean as me surroundings. Once that's done me will return with this weeks suggested site. Me be pretty certain that ya gonna find it quite interesting.
Me no dislike being with meself.

Cleaning ones home and purifying self are major rituals in every spiritual and religious theory; an great way to mark the new year or new beginning.
I am also in the same process.

I'm inspired to tidy.
My mind functions better in a neat, uncluttered environment. Alas, that doesn't happen as often as I'd like. Of course, it's hard to clear away the clutter when the brain is cluttered and sluggish.:)

Nessa~ We come into the world fairly pure and with a tabula rasa. Seems natural to want to return to that state to some degree before pursuing new horizons.
