Monster Cleans House

When Me gets flustered and wrapped up in me own world of problems Me has a few ways o' distracting meself and taking me brain off the hook fer a while. One of these ways be house cleaning. Me knows that this don' be very macho, but me likes a clean nest fer living in.

Tidying up were fun until it came time to take out the trash. Japan has fairly strict recycling laws and they vary from city to city. Me town isn't so bad. Ya gotta take the labels offa cans and you can't throw bottle caps away with plastic bottles. You be supposed to take off the little safety rings that are left on the necks after you have opened them as well, but me don't actually do it. All this means that we have to have four different garbage cans. One each fer cans, glass, plastic and foodstuffs.
Today me were taking out the plastic bottles and me noticed that me been engaging in another little pastime to take me mind offa me problems: drinking.
This be about one month's alcohol consumption fer the Scary one. The big red bottles are about a half gallon of something called Shochu, a Japanese white liquor.
The Vixen thinks that Me drinks a little too much, but then again she can go through quite a lot of booze herself.

Me tends to be voracious in all me vices: Reading, working, drinking, smoking, etc.

What be yer vices and how far do ya takes 'em?

Me no twelve stepper.

Vices- Many.

I smoke- thirty a day.
I drink, but not TOO excessively. About Twenty pints a week, I reckon.

I have another vice, which is very occasional, (once a month or so)but on those occasions I tend to go a little overboard on it.

I think its better to live hard, work hard and play hard then the opposite.

Aren't the houses there made entirely of paper? Why then not just crumple it all into a giant wad and toss it out the car window? Geez. No wonder they lost WWII.

Your description of recycling remember me of that year in Vancouver... When I arrived there and realized all the stressful garbage organization I was to do, I screamed "The hell, no way!!!" But I became pretty good at managing the 2 small bins + the 3 different bags of recycling material... In Montreal, nothing like that... We throw whatever in whatever and nobody feels concerned... A real shame... but it makes life easier...
Addictions... or vices??? Is there a difference?
I'm a heavy smoker... Not a pack a day, but close enough... I drink daily... 2-3 beers... or half bottle of wine... sometimes both... Sex... olala... that would never be enough...lololol..
But, hey... those is all stuff that are making life interesting... and somehow tolerable, no?

I think my biggest vices involve food - chocolate & ice cream.
Not too exciting, but still capable of causing health problems...

Coffee, black, 2 cups a day. Spending time quietly inside my own head, daily, sometimes for hours.

Dogs. I play mindlessly with them for hours. Writing, unconstructive variety. I am supposedly working on a book. HA. not.

If a thing's worth doing, it's worth doing to excess.

My biggest vices are smoking, drinking, and preparing to do things I never actually do but buying the appropriate power tools anyway. I have a lot of power tools, still in their boxes, and a lot of doors that still don't fit properly.

We have that recycling thing in the UK too. Yours sounds similar. I generally make sure my bottle-recycling box has all the whisky, beer etc bottles on the top because I know it drives the nosey neighbours insane. They assume it's the same all the way down.

Sometimes it is.

None of those sound so bad. It seems your vice is excess? But if a Monster can't be larger than life, who can?
