Me be missin some funny folks.
When me were just a tadpole every Saturday mornin me had the chance to watch some of the best things that TV had to offer. Now Me knows that you folks think that what you been growed up with be da bomb, but me actually grew up with "The Bomb" and Me gots to tell youse that you ain't got nuthin that can compare with the Dead end kids AKA the Bowery boys. Abbot and Costello, The Marx Bros. the little Rascals, etc.
Me be waxing nostalgic here and Me just wants to go back and see again just what it were that make me laugh so much as a kid. Were it Groucho & Chico doin their "Why a duck?" shtick? or were it Lou Costello Makin sense outta 7 x 13 = 28 (This could be why me ain't too good at math). It don' much matter. Me just misses these guys and Me wants to go back and laugh with 'em once again.
Me wants to go on about this, but iffin you be a reader then ya know that except fer a Cabo post Me don't waste yer time with long, drawn out erudite passages of information. The Net be there fer those of you who wish to explore...stomp.
What old stuff give you the bellywoggles?
Me no giggling at the moment.

..."The flagon with the dragon or the vessel with the pestle?...no, no, the flagon with the dragon holds the brew that is true..."
Harold Lloyd would be my classic favorite.
Camille~ Didn't Danny Kaye do a Connetticut Yankee in King arthur's Corut? He also did a movie about a boxer and a fantastical wonderland kinda thing that Me vaguely remembers.
Will have to look them up, thanks.
VE~ Me comes up blank, but will take me own advice and go surfin to find out who he be.
STOMP.
I loved the 3 Stooges. Danny Kaye, too, and Jerry Lewis. I don't think they were ever not funny.
3 Stooges but the one with Curly. I couldn't stand Shemp or Curly Joe. I love Captain Kangaroo and Mr. Green Jeans too.
SJ~ The Three Stooges. Yarrrr! Me has a sticker of them on me textbook at school.
Corn Dog~ Me heard once that Mr. Greenjeans were Frank Zappa's dad. Hmmmm, fact or fiction?
from wikipedia.."Mr. Green Jeans was the subject of an urban legend that claimed he was the father of the late musician Frank Zappa. The confusion probably arose from the title of song by Zappa, "Son of Mr. Green Genes", from Zappa's 1969 album, Hot Rats. Zappa was, in fact, the son of Francis Vincent Zappa, Sr."
Sunday mornings..Abbot and Costello and my favorite: East Side Kids and the Bowery Boys
starring Leo Gorcey, Hunts Hall and Bobby Jordan. This was all interspersed with Bugs Bunny Cartoons, and Wonder-ama with Sonny Fox.
I like The Marx Brothers, because you can even get stucco. Boy, can you get stuccoed.
Corn Dog~ Thanks fer clearing that up. One urban legend down gazillions left to be demystified.
leelee~ Wonderama! Girl, that brings back some very dusty memories. Did you watch the Electric Company and HR Pufinstuff too?
Pug~ Wouldn't you rather be swimmin with bow-legged women?
STOMP.
HR Puffenstuff...whose yer friend when things get rough..
Electric Company - Morgan Freeman and Rita Moreno were in that. Yes I was a fan. Of course.
Also on Channel 11 you could catch the old Tarzan Movies on Sunday morn too.
How about the 4:30 movie on channel 7..I remember a lot of that stuff cuz, like you TV was an integral part of my childhood.
