The wind cried....Monster.
One heckuva storm raged through the country yesterday and today. The English language papers are calling it Typhoon Fitow, but in Japan it was simply named storm No. nine.
This beast tore up trees, toppled vending machines, tumbled houses, flooded roads, sank bridges and generally made everone's life quite miserable and terrifying all at the same time.
Getting to work were a harrowing experience. People walking along the streets had umbrellas ripped from their grasp. These flying raptors, spindly and shapeless, would swoop down upon unsuspecting victims and envelop them in a loving embrace before being tossed to the ground.
Some persistent folks were determined to travel by bicycle. These particular fools were buffeted by winds that would push them into traffic. Me were surprised that nobody got hit.
At the entrance to the building where Me be employed Me were greeted the sight of sandbags stacked out front to prevent any possible water damage. The building is only a block from a river and the possibility of flooding loomed throughout the day.
There were no view from the windows today. The sky were darkened by the continuous thrashing of the storm and the glass were a solid ripple of undulating rain.
Most students cancelled their lessons; which were probably a good thang. The fantastic change in air pressure and negative ions from this monster had everyone feeling furry headed and bland. A general feeling of malaise permeated the atmosphere.
When stuff like this happens nothing feels right, sounds right or tastes right.
Tomorrow will be a long and hopefully exciting day for me. The Scary Monster will Em-Cee a party of over 600 bikers. Me will be absent tomorrow, but will post pictures on Sunday.
Stay Stompy.

I would have loved to have seen photos of the storm too! Where are they?????? lol
Definitely post photos of the party! Sounds like Daytona Bike Week here in Florida! Is it similar?
I know the feeling SM. I have been through two category 5 storms. Both storms are in the top 20 strongest storms ever recorded. I have life insurance.
Monster Man: Was the weather storm a precursor to a biker storm?
When I told you to trash Tokyo to feel bettter, I did not expect you to go for it!
Good luck and stay safe. We are in that season here as well, although it has been very quiet. I just cursed myself I know. Avoid those frogs.
I like storms, but that sounds like a very scary one. Stay safe, SM.

As far as the KermiLert, you are more magnanimous than me with your comments section. I use my delete key on those that displease me. I am God on my blog.
We heard about it here...in Australia - but really, if there is no tsunami warning alert for Japan then it's all just ho-hum for us.
Oh I"m kidding! My old friend was quite nervy because she is flying into Japan next week and had been watching the news.
hah, laughed about the bold sort riding to work on a bicycle through a "BIG STORM". Extreme sport :)
