Time out- little green Monster crossing.
No less than a dozen dolls, figurines and wind up toys be staring at me at the moment. Me has a desk that be absolutely overflowing with unessential objects.
Me is quite honest about this. The only stuff that me actually uses on me desk besides the laptop is a lamp and a coaster. Yeah there's a dictionary and a thesaurus on the desk but one of me Darth Vaders be sittin on top of 'em and he don't like to be capriciously moved around.
Me life be a little like this. How 'bout yours?
You got any stuff that just ain't really doin ya any good, but ya like to keep it around just the same?
Me goin out with the boys tomorrow, so There won't be enough brain cells left to post. After that me has to get ready to hit the road for Obon. Me bastid cell phone provider kinda rooked me out of 8000 Yen just to be able to hook me computer to the net so me can keep in touch with youse guys.
Mebbe iffin me get jinky from drivin around; me will tell you all about the incredibly responsible and emotionally mature week me had.
Me no work for the next nine days.

I'm the geek with Doctor Who toys - Daleks battling cybermen - on the writing desk. I need them though... they keep the writing block demons aways most days.

I have lots and lots of "stuff."
And since a little green monster is crossing I'm going to run after him and catch him if he doesn't run away from me. I'm going to take him home and show him my blogging friends, and keep him in my bedroom under lock and key.

I have chach-kas all over my desks, I have little gnome...a postcard of a Liger, funny little things that I have acquired over the years that just make me smile..
I have many work related papers on my desk that have been sitting there doing nothing for months.
Also I have a fountain pen I never use, a moose holding a canadian flag and a framed picture of Roy Schieder.
As you probably already know, robotbeastwomancartoons love stuff. I have more stuff than anyone could ever use. In fact, today I was in the shop of my school scrounging for electrical wire ... for projects that I might do with my students ... or not. I might just keep the wire.
You inspire me Scary Monster. I'm going to post about this later this week. Pictures will be included. I have lots of religious icons, books, toys, and stuff I saved from dumpsters, my grandma's house, an auction, g-sales ... you get the point.

Not me. I'm a reformed junker. My life is chaotic enough on the inside of my head without all that stuff on the outside.
I have fake beetles from China Town stuck all over my house. Other than that I have a no nick nack rule. Hate to dust the dingies.
I'm not sure where my desk is. If I find it beneath all these papers and books and doo-dads, I'll be sure and let you know.:-)
