One Hit Wonders

The fact that this post appears over the weekend will mean that few people will read it.
Even iffin ya are here and ya be reading these words, it just be a momentary flash. Me understands that five minutes from now or even sooner than that, you be perusing the pages of another blogger.

We all do it and that not be the focus of today's thought anyway.

It only takes a moment to see the whole picture.
Follow me boys and girls and try to see what Me be seein.
When were the last time you been happy and joyous about sumpin?
Me be witness to so many wonderful things everyday, but Me just don't, or believe Me can't take the time to enjoy the magic that unfolds before me eyes.
Even from the ashes of moments of great sadness or instability can there arise the insight of truth to things which be considered simple and unimportant.

Why do we scurry around looking to accumulate a never ending procession of material and emotional Band-Aids to cover the temporary blanks created by desire.
One might say that this continued search for completion is what we were put on the earth for; that we are to battle against that which is determined to be negative and condemned by whatever particular society we be livin in so as to prove ourselves worthy to those whom we encounter or, even worse, to look at ourselves in the mirror and state that we are doing well.

I want to laugh. I want to cry. I want to cheer the sunrise and fear the onset of sleep because I might not wake in the morning to experience another day.
I need to see you. See your faults and ugliness and still know that I can love you. I believe that even if nobody reads this drivel, you will see what I see. We all need to feel each other and be connected. The gentle amoung us, the ignorant, the horrific, the despicable, the rightous, etc. all deserve the moment.
The one moment it takes to look at a person and keep them from becoming invisible.

Me no just only Me.

Wow, damn, deep, and beautiful. My G-d can you write man. That was just...well, what I started this with. It is not junk food writing. It will not be forgotten in five minutes. Ten maybe, but certainly not five. Great post.

The last time I felt overcome by the loveliness of it all was today. I was lying in the grass, looking up at the leaves, happy with the trees and the grass and the yard and the home and the people in the home and the baseball game I would be attending later. And I thought, no moment could ever be as sweet as this one that I have right here in my hand.

Funny you chose this theme to write about. Does this have anything to do with your last e-mail?

Pay heed to the immortal Deep Thoughts of one Mr. Jack Handy:

It takes a big man to cry.

It takes a bigger man to laugh at that man.
