A rose by any other name...
Language is specialwonderfrustratextemporationallydelicious.
Me just spent the entire evening watching a movie and a few TV programs in an incomprehensible language. It could have been Polish or Czech or Russian or any one of a half dozen baltic languages; essentially it was all gibberish and gutteral barking to me.
Have you ever tried to figure out the plot of a movie or the gist of a conversation when all you could rely on was tone of voice, gestures, facial expressions, and physical interaction (the sex scenes were a snap).
Losing yourself in another cultures images and sounds; it makes you a little weird.
Me started filling in the information gaps with me own dialogue and interpretations of what were going on.
Returning to this blog made me feel a little queasy; English took on an alien feeling and me and even now it's hard to shake.
When Me was a tadpole, Me played the "wish" game with me friends, we all did.
And Me almost always wished to be able to speak all of the languages of the world; even the ones of the animals, trees rocks and rivers.
Me be talkin Dr. Dolittle and then some. Now me would include a bit of Neo so Me could include machines to the list. (check out this place for cool morphs of people and animals)
What were your "wish"? Has it changed at all over the years ?
Me no slept for quite some time.
P.S. Me just got "tagged" by e-mail. Does that count?

I used to wish I could fly- and that I could breathe underwater.
Right now I wish I was sitting on a warm sandy beach- with something sweet and cold to drink.
Oh- and I "wish" you a very
Happy Valentines Day ;)

I wish I could live a full life without ever mourning its inevitable end in advance.
My wish is always the same- happiness whatever that is.
Living in Miami every day is like that tv show. I kind of enjoy it to be honest. I remember when I lived in Boulder I watched a Kung Fu movie in Chinese and the dub was still out of sync. Really funny.
My wish list never changes very much: a little peace, a little serenity, a lot of freedom from stress and turmoil.
Happy Valentine's Day, Scary.
Mrs.C~ Sounds like some rightous Superman/Aquaman mix you got goin on there.
lbl~ Hmmmmm, we must be on some kind of similar wavelengh here. Me next post, (to be me shortest to date)were to be about that very theme.
Kanrei~ Happiness for yourself or to be the one who spreads happiness without even knowing it? If it's the latter, you've alresdy succeeded.
SJ (Steadfast Jewel)Simple pleasures are the best, aren't they.
But if you want to stay clear of stress. Be careful of the scissors when you cut your own hair. One wrong snip and you'll have to give up writing and become a painter instead.
I'm a bit un nerved by those animal morphs...I feel like I just came out of the Star Wars Bar. and I'm with Kanrei..I'm not in Miami but am in South Florida..and I think I've seen some of those creatures on a certain Broadwalk in Broward...YIKES.
When I was a kid I wished too I could fly..I dreamt (that word doesn't look right ) about it often..
Now my wishes have grown up...I don't wish for me any longer...I find myself wishing for oh......end to war, peace on earth ....I wish people would GET A CLUE about things...I wish happiness for my daughter and my family..
I don't spend a lot of time wishing anymore though...I feel very blessed with all I have..
Did you ever see "What's Up, Tiger Lily?" It was a Japanese movie that Woody Allen over-dubbed in English. It was hilarious.
Hope you had a good VAlentine's Day, Scary.
I have been having trouble sleeping as well. I love watching Telemundo, but I can understand quite a bit of Espanol, so that is cheating.
