Bushwhacking

Please go here first

There be all kinds of talk about the war in Iraq. There be relatively no talk about any other armed conflict that be going on at the moment, which Me finds somewhat puzzling, but that's OK.
The quagmire. The liveliest and most interesting discussion going on, in me opinion is by Kanrei and Rexzeietgeist. Two guys that constantly find exemplary reasons to disagree with each other.
Me believes that both of these guys are correct. Me not fence sitting here and me isn't trying to get the blogworld's ambassador position either.
The Americans are involved in a war that ever so much looks like an illegal invasion of an independent foreign nation or sovereign entity. The attack was called preemptive , but resembles the actions of a fascist police force kicking down your door because they have some general feeling that you are committing sedition.
The odd thing is that America has committed herself to this invasion and to back out now, leaving the unstable government in place would invite derision and confusion in an action that has no definitive agenda leaving all in a miasma of Gordian proportions.
The initial intelligence that spurred the "allied forces" into action was spurious and uncorroborated. This leads me to the thought that the leader of an independent nation was forcibly taken from his own country and tried for, and found guilty, for crimes that he did commit, but were not an issue at the beginning of the invasion, or should Me say military action. (you do know that the Korean conflict was a police action for many years before it was officially termed a war) When did the switch occur? let me ask something else. When did the focus travel from Osama bin Laden and al-Qaeda to Saddam Hussein anyway? Me admits that those in the upper eschelons of world power have acsess to information that the everyday Monster do not posses, but when he don't share the findings and the truth, Me is forced to follow the money trail.

That's me shot. You be welcome to yours.

Me no like unreasonable fighting.

I focus on the war in Iraq because it is a wrong war that I am partially to blame for. There are many other wars going on right now and each is horrible, but no other is my fault per say or my responsiblity. I am an isolationist in many ways and do not believe in interfering with another country unasked. The problem with Iraq is that there is no longer any right course of action left. Staying or leaving will not change the bloodshed to come in any way. We pulled our finger out of the damn and now nothing can stop the flood. To quote Wargames- the only way to win is not to play.

The quote from the Bob Woodward book is that that Iraq had better targets.

Kanrei. Me always expects invigorating comments from you and Me is once again made happy by seeing your entusiastic statements.
Be there ever a "right" war? Me understands the need to defend oneself, but me is not certain me has seen an example of a good war.

Me is also somewhat confused for the responsibility you claim for American involvement.

Responsibility for American involvement in Iraq I feel responsible for. If I protested more, wrote a petition, voted for Gore in 2000, wrote my Congressman more, started blogging soon, anything it could have been stopped. Gore lost the election in 2000 in my state by 537 votes and I did not vote nor did my friends. It is my fault entirely that Gore lost and Bush won so the war in Iraq is my fault as well.
