Chasing Me tail
Me will leave the riddle up for a few more days before answering.
Me honestly did not think it was so difficult, but then again me clues can sometimes be somewhat elusive.
At the moment Me be kicking a few ideas around in me head and while trying to make sense of things Me has become more confused than when Me started.
Offering me is, a chance to assist.
There be many intelligent and interesting folks visiting me home and Me would like to ask a favor of you. Me have payed respects at many of your door steps and learned much.
To turn me thoughts aside from their present conundrum, Me would like for you to present me with an idea for discourse.
Me believes that iffin me can distract meself with another line of thought for a day or two me might be able to make sense of the mire me be stuck in now. Of course you will recieve full credit for the idea, so if you are willing, throw down the gauntlet and let me see iffin me can handle your topic with clarity and aplomb.

I am well and truly stumped. The only "monsters" I can think of -- King Kong, Dracula, The Mummy, Quasimodo, Frankenstein, Sasquatch, Nessie -- would frighten children, not amuse them. Good Lord, you weren't ALF, were you?
As to topics, sorry, you're on your own, kiddo. Just go with your instincts and something fabulous will come to you.:)

As soon as I thought of a "croc", I clearly remembered how thrilled I was when Cap Hook got eaten.
Godzilla was a "giant lizzard" (definition of dinosaur)- his brother with a thrashing tail would be the croc- or a Gator :)
