Concern

Me recently paid a visit to a friends house and it seemed to me that he not be actin like his usual self. After me listening to his words it seemed to me that he be worried about something that he couldn't have. Me isn't certain iffin what he is wanting is spiritual, physical, emotional or a combination of all three. Me couldn't tell him directly so me is thinking I just put a message in a bottle and hope that he finds it. And if he do find it, Me hopes that these words might help.

Me considers desire.
Me thinks this be something that all experience, but because we be too involved with the emotional turmoil that yearning brings, we seldom avail ourselves of the chance to take a good look at the thing which is called desire. The wanting of a thing is neither good nor bad; it is how Me approach the acquiring that causes distress. Me don't choose to desire. Me can't say me will accept one thing and not take the things that come with it. That seems to me to be a distortion of the mind. Such rejection creates turmoil. Me cannot deny something that me never chose in the first place, the wanting is a natural part of life like the tides, the setting sun or a graceful gesture of a beautiful woman. So Me tries to understand me desires by giving in to them. When me allows the life spirit to run freely, me become more closely attuned to the beauty of things. If Me becomes enlightened to the exquisiteness of the object of desire then it is just a matter of time before the inner conflict is ended and in one way or another Me possesses the essential pleasure of embracing me desire even if Me never holds the focus of me passion in me hands or arms.

Look around as we stomp together. Are there not innumerable objects of desire?

SM, I don't think you're a "Little Scary Monster" at all. That's a beautiful sentiment you've expressed here, filled with intuition and understanding. I, too, hope your friend reads it. He can learn from you.

Hello Scary Monster, I saw your comment in Serena Joy's blog, and you hooked me right away. Miss Snark would love you. Anyway, as I learned it, there are are only two desires in the universe: you either desire to unite with The Source, or you you desire to separate from It.

Wow, I got a compliment from Scary Monster! Thank you very much. I want to know where you work that you get to keep a pig. I like pigs. Little piggies, anyway, which are very cute and cuddly.

Southern Writer's right -- LaSnark would adore you.:)
